NAVW is a browser extension that checks grammar, spelling, and punctuation in real time. This Privacy Policy explains what data is used, how it is processed, and your rights as a user.

NAVW collects no personal information. The only data processed is the text you type into input fields on websites:

• TXT
  Text input — Temporarily sent to the selected grammar provider's API. Not stored by NAVW.
• CFG
  Settings — Preferences (provider, API keys, delay, language) saved locally in your browser only via chrome.storage.sync.
• OFF
  No tracking — NAVW does not use analytics, cookies, fingerprinting, or any form of user tracking.

When you type, NAVW sends that text to the grammar provider you selected in Settings:

Your API keys are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted elsewhere.

  activeTab — To access and attach to text fields on the page you are currently viewing.
• DB
  storage — To save your settings locally in your browser.
• CTX
  contextMenus — To add a "Check Grammar with NAVW" right-click option.
• API
  Host permissions — To make API requests to the grammar services listed above only.

NAVW does not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third party. The only data transmission is text sent directly to the grammar API you have chosen.

NAVW does not retain any data. Text checked is sent to the API in real time and is not logged, cached, or stored by the extension. Settings remain in browser local storage until you uninstall.

NAVW is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you have concerns, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use of NAVW after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

These Terms govern your use of the NAVW Grammar Checker browser extension, created and maintained by Himaghna Medhi. By using the Extension, you agree to these Terms in full.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  Copy, modify, or distribute the Extension's source code without written permission.
• NO
  Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Extension.
• NO
  Use the Extension for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.
• NO
  Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Extension's functionality.

NAVW integrates with third-party grammar and AI APIs. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these third-party services.

You are solely responsible for obtaining and managing any API keys required for paid providers.

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, including accuracy of grammar suggestions or uninterrupted availability. Grammar suggestions are generated automatically and may not always be correct — always review before applying.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Himaghna Medhi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension, including data loss or errors in grammar suggestions.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
